Organization Carbon Footprint

OPPLE Lighting was founded in 1996. It is an integrated lighting enterprise combining R&D, production, sales, and services. OPPLE Lighting is also the first company in the industry to partner with SGS-CSTC Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. to carry out greenhouse gas emissions verification and commit to achieving carbon neutrality. With an annual carbon reduction of more than 8,000 tonnes, OPPLE Lighting has integrated ESG into its lighting business. As an important enabler of energy conservation and carbon reduction, the lighting industry has begun to demonstrate the ESG achievements it has made over the past three years. In the street lighting segment, OPPLE Lighting has deployed approximately 1.6 million smart streetlight heads across China over the past five to six years. Its overall smart street lighting system can reduce electricity consumption by more than 60% compared with traditional streetlights. Beyond the domestic market, OPPLE Lighting has continued to deepen its presence in overseas markets. Since 2004, OPPLE Lighting has expanded globally under its own brand, and it now reaches more than 70 countries worldwide, with global regional headquarters established in the Netherlands, Dubai, and India. OPPLE Lighting has embedded green development across its entire industrial chain. The company has carried out targeted intelligent upgrades at its manufacturing plants, realizing “lights-out factories,” and has been recognized as a National Green Factory. It has also installed an 80,000-square-meter rooftop solar system in its industrial park, which can independently provide 10 million kWh of green energy each year, saving approximately 3,339 tonnes of standard coal and reducing carbon emissions by 8,749 tonnes—equivalent to planting 480,000 trees annually.
